When you look up keywords using Google's tool, choose long tail keywords ( a couple of words strung together) that have low advertiser competition.
But that's not all, you also want to do searches for the keywords and see what some of the top listings look like.
Try to choose your main keywords by choosing the ones that get searches but don't have very much of a solution when someone searches.

When it's time to register a domain name, I suggest you go to GoDaddy.
If you can't find a .com name for your business that you want, here is a very inexpensive alternative. Global Domains International.
They offer .ws domain names and they are becoming quite a phenominon.
You get a .ws domain name (and there are tons of names still available) and hosting (where your website's files live) all for $10 a month. This is cheap, believe me. I pay $24.99 a month just to host LetsStartEarning.com.
Now, if you do find a .com name you want, you'll need hosting. I use bravenet for this site but I use Host4Profit for my other site which has a lot more features as well as the most stellar customer service I've ever seen.
You WILL have technical issues with your website at some point so you want a host that will help you through your troubles. Remember, your site is your money, If it's down, that's no good.
When you're ready to build your actual site, there are quite a few options.
- Learn HTML.: This may take you awhile. If you want to go this route, I suggest Web Design Mastery. This is an 8 volume course that doesn't leave anything out.
- Use a WYSIWYG editor: This means "what you see is what you get." In other words, you see your site as you're designing it.
